On the southern slopes of Papuk, directly across from Požega, there is a village called Velika, right between two mountain slopes. The village is intersected by numerous rapids of the Veličanka creek. The Dubočanka creek flows in the eastern part of the mountain range and the Veličanka in the western part. The village was settled as early as in the Middle Ages, and today it is a well-known destination that offers a growing number of recreational attractions – walks, hiking, swimming in summer, skiing and sledding in winter, climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking and paragliding.

However, in the past few years, Velika became a top destination with increasing demand thanks to Duboka Campground opened in 2017. The campground has 11 camping pitches for campers and caravans, with access to electricity and water. One part of the campground is set up to accommodate guests in tents. Communal sanitary facilities are available to all campground guests.

The evidence of the campground’s quality is its inclusion in the list of the best 42 small campgrounds in Croatia as part of the OK Mini Camps quality standard certification project, which promotes campground quality and education and is supported by the Ministry of tourism.

The number of visitors doubles every year, and we are proud of the fact that our guests come back to us, delighted with the environment of the campground.

It is our pleasure that many of our guests who intended to stay at the campground for only one day decide to stay at least a day longer, intrigued by our offer and the beauty of the nature park itself.

Most of them spend their stay actively, both in the campground and the surrounding area – hiking, walking around the Dubočanka creek, visiting Jankovac Forest Park, riding bicycles which can be rented at the camp, and those who want an adrenaline rush and good fun, they can test their skills in the newly opened Duboka Adrenaline Park.
